POST-OP EATING
Thin liquids, thick liquids, purees... oh my!

FUN FACT: Eating after jaw surgery is an emotionally exhausting process.

From using a syringe and only being able to swallow 3 mLs at a time, to slurping thick liquids from a cup over the sink while everyone else is eating pizza, to being cleared for purees only to realize you can't open wide enough to fit in even a baby spoon, this journey WILL test you. Meltdowns are going to happen, but I promise you, you're tougher than you think.

My hope is that the blog posts below make your journey a little easier. If you have any questions or want to work with me, don't hesitate to reach out!

You can do this.
xoxo,
Monica, the Jaw Surgery Dietitian
